Objective of the Award

To acknowledge, recognise and celebrate the pivotal importance of ‘effort’. We celebrate this by publicly acknowledging those who apply the most effort: via assemblies, certificates, photographs and trophies.
Awards are presented to the pupils who are in the 'top ten' in their year for effort in each half term report. This is calculated by the number of effort 'grade ones' received. Certificates are awarded in assembly shortly after each half term break, and pupils then collect and sign for badges from Mrs Pettit in SLT.

The Awards

Being in the top ten in:

1 half term  - Half Bronze Award

2 half terms - Bronze Award

3 half terms - Half Silver Award

4 half terms - Silver Award

5 half terms - Half Gold Award

6 half terms - Gold Award

Intermediate Scholar Awards

In order to recognise and inspire those who work hard, but may just miss out on being in the top ten in their year, we present certificates and badges to the next five boys and girls.
